Answer» I'm just experimenting with HIBERNATION mode a little...
I'll open a couple of programs, and set the power options to hibernate after 1 MINUTE...After a minute, the computer goes into hibernation. When I turn it back on it won't go back to the state it was in before hibernation...
I get this message instead, with some options:
The last attempt to restart the system from its previous location failed
-Delete restoring data and proceed to system boot menu -Continue with system restart
I have to choose the FIRST option to be able to boot back into Windows but it doesn't bring back the state it was in before hibernation
The other option loops me back to the error message
Laptop, or desktop?desktop Don't use any of those options. Period. What options do you mean? The options I get when the error occurs or the power options in Control Panel?Power saving features - hibernation, sleep, etc.Another way to Hibernate is Start--Shut Down
Hold Shift at the shutdown screan and Stanby will change to Hibernate.May I ask, why in the world ANYONE needs to some power saving features in case of desktop?I used to use suspend mode since I have a PHONE through my computer and must leave it on all the time. But with my Nvidia card I cant use suspend for some reason unknown
