Answer» I have a folder on my desktop named READ where I have links to items I want to read when I have time. When I click on a link I get a message box - problem with shortcut - with the following message: the target of this internet shortcut is not valid. Do not care for IE 10 as it gives me too many IEcannot display the web page and I have to go to Microsoft Fixit too often. Have tried other browsers - opera, firefox but like the IE 9Quote from: patio on May 09, 2013, 08:06:46 PM What browser do you use ? ? Forgot to add on the hot fix link I was sent by Microsoft I got an error code TRY this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/168124 To drag the icon which is found before the url address, MINIMIZE the browser then open the folder (minimize also) to your current or use another folder just in case. Much better is to bookmark or use IE Add to Favorites on webpages you would like to revisit. Make sure to create a folder to organize your SHORTCUTS http://browsers.about.com/od/internetexplorertutorials/ss/add-to-favorites-ie9.htmQuote from: jason2074 on May 09, 2013, 11:12:19 PM Try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/168124 |
