Answer» Hi there , I have a USB modem , it was working just fine with windows Vista , suddenly it's not recognized , I uninstalled and reinstalled its driver --> didnt work . I tried it on another laptop --> worked . I scanned the laptop for viruses , reinstalled the driver --> didnt work . I connect a flash memory on the same USB port and works fine . I am going nuts .... can somebody please advise me what can I do ? It may be simply a lack of knowledge on my part but "have a USB modem" is not a term i am familiar with. Do you mean a wireless adapter connected via the usb port of the computer. truenorthUSB modems generally connect to the computer (there may be some routers that have a USB input). Most work fine, but from my experience a cat 5 cable with ethernet connectors (RJ45) are more reliable. I have solved the problem by removing power ISO software , obviously virtual CD causes problems with the ZTE software . I twisted my mind to find what changes I did that could cause the problem , at first I didnt expect it would be power ISO but it was actually it . I hope this post may help anybody who would have similar problem in the next 10 years
