i m using win 7 64 bit....
while PLAYING 128 bits mp3s, i observed that there is some problem with wmp ascit gives some effect likev PLAY and pause again and again.....actually it usedcto skip some part of music files and plays some........
as if example ........
as long as you love me.........seems to b as lo...as .......lo...me


same files plays well if used with winamp and vlc media player.....
scaned with mse and mbam found nothing......

any help will be appreciated........

If I am understanding your post the music will play (With Winamp / VLC etc) correctly with no "pausing / skipping" there maybe a CORRUPTED codec. A good free codec package that I have used for years is http://www.mediacodec.org/download/ and best of all it's free and if you decide to INSTALL them here is what you need to do.

#1... Look for the 64 bit version and then download and save it (Remember where you downloaded it to )
#2... Close all your browsers
#3... It will install very quick and if you would like to see screen shots of the install just look at this web page first http://www.mediacodec.org/ just scroll down and you will see the set up boxes.

i got my problem solved..
it seems that the earlier codecs i had, which was the similar one, got corrupted somehow.

i am sorry to inform u mike that after three four playbacks it comes to its original colours and again started to do same...
alternatively i removed those128 bps songs and used the 320 bps version....
those are perfect....
