Answer» My father has set up a security system and wants me to be able to view/access his private webpage for this system. HOWEVER, when I type in the IP address it either gives me "page cannot be displayed" or it gives me a list of sites to choose from. We have gone in and enabled Active X functions but it still won't bring me to the page I need. I also turned off the FIREWALL and still no luck. When I make these changes my computer also doesn't like it and almost forces me to disable everything again GIVING me security warnings. I am running Windows Vista and using an EMachines computer. Don't know what to do as I am sure there is something blocking the access within my computer. My father set up all three of his computers with no PROBLEM so I am confused.....Please Help!!! Thank you;Are you running off a router? Is his website through a VPN?
