Just had a fast look at your dxdiag report ...and nothing jumped out ........ Is this issue something that has always been there ...or did it start as soon as you changed the vid card ? Do you have this slow down with anything else ? Music ? Do you have the latest updates installed for XP pro ? Which version of WMP are you using ? Have you tried the player from VLC ? dl65 Hey, sorry I haven't replied to any of your comments. My internet went down and I've only just got it back :-/ dl65: The issue didn't arise until about a week after I'd upgraded my card. I'm not experiencing any problems with other forms of media, and I've tried it on all my video applications (including VLC). I have tried updating to the latest graphics drivers too.Do you have the latest Windows updates? What are you using to play the files, other than VLC? What versions? The problem occurs with all formats of video files, correct? And all sizes too?Latest windows updates - yes. Other apps - WMP, winamp, creative playcentre ... not sure about the versions. Happens with all formats & sizes, yes. Although I can watch online videos off youtube etc. |
