Solve : Problems with Installing Software on Windows XP!? |
|
Answer» HI, When I download a software program, from the internet, it downloads fine. Ok, but then when I try and install it, an error message pops up saying "NSIS ERROR - The INSTALLER you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download, or a virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED.) " This, or similar error messages like this one, have appeared when I have tried to download AOL Instant Messenger, and Earthlink TotalAccess 2005 Protection Control Center. When trying to install AIM, I re-downloaded it about 3 times and each time it said the same thing - it was corrupted or imcomplete. This has also happened with other small programs I download. What is wrong?!
