hello! I'm running win 98 SE and a while ago my programs dissapeared from the start menu on my desktop, i have been able to find some of them but not all of them, i know that they are still on the pc as i can get into microsoft works etc through saved documents in my documents! Can any one tell me why this happened and what i can do to rectify this, if anything?
Also, the games from the accessories folder went to! Have i a little goblin running AROUND my pc at nightime?Sure, that Goblin & his mates might be on the night shift.  Have you run any maintenance progs like AdAware, SpyBot S&D, full AV scan to find out if the Goblins are active???firstly, thank you for taking your time to REPLY! I have GOT trend pc cillian anti virus on my pc, which also scans for spyware and adware, as well as yahoo spyware and adware stopper and 2 pop up blockers! I also have a PERSONAL firewall, when i put the anti virus onto my computer i had a worm that had REPLICATED over a thousand times in files and had dropped several other 'things' in it's process! I cant remember the name of the worm, but if it will help i can go through the scan logs! I was thinking that maybe it was the worm that was messing up the pc, as it wouldnt shut down before i did the virus cleaning and now it does! lol, thank you!
