Answer» can someone tell me whats the difference between the ms-dos boot DISK (the one you can create by right CLICK on A: drive in window) and the one that you manually put in the boot.ini, NTLDR and ntdetect.com? and btw can you create one of these on a CD? thanksWelxcome to the CH forums. The ms-dos disk will boot to ms-dos. The floppy/cd containing NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM will boot into NT and load WINDOWS XP from the partition/folder specified in BOOT.INI.
