Answer» I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I couldn't FIGURE out where else it could go. Anyway, I have Lynksis wireless internet. I recently noticed that my connection speed is 11.0Mbps but my dad's is 46.0Mbps and we're using the exact same connection. We are at the same distance from the router. I am using a PC and he has a laptop. I was wondering if maybe the type of computer or age of the computer had something to do with it? But I don't see how that affects the speed of the internet. If you're using USB wireless adapter, make sure the USB is USB2.0. If you're using USB1.1, you can only get 11Mbps EVEN though your adapter is 802.11g standard.
