Answer» Hey I need to Restore my computer back to the way it was when it CAME out of the box. I was TOLD to do a system restore after backing up all my files and important documents. Now the question is, to do the system restore, what do I need to do. I know I need to do SOMETHING with Ctrl+F11 when I reboot. Can some one tell me the proccess please, or if you know a better way to do this.It all depends on your computer maker, how the restore is done (CD vs. files on a hidden partition, etc). If you want to share that info, we'll be here.
In any case you will need to backup any important data because the drive will be erased. I know that the Drive will be erased. It is a Dell E1505 INSPIRON Notebook, 100 gig HDD, 1 gig of Ram, blaah blahh blahh The files are partitioned because its a DELL (10 gigs of crap) Yes, the key combination to start the restore is probably shown at startup (shift + F11 maybe?) If no idea
Did you know that you can probably get a real Windows CD for very little or free if you call and ask them? This article claims $8.
