Solve : Question on reformating?

Answer»

Not a bad idea...i would use both switches :

format C: /U; /s and hit enter. But since it is a clean install he may not need the system files neccessarily.ok its done "formating" now its asking me:

Volume label (11 characters, ENTER for none) I pressed enter...

now it gave me a "Volume Serial Number"

im at the A:\> now what do I type next Remove the floppy...put the WinME CD in and re-boot....

FOLLOW the instructions onscreen.I know I should of waited for you guys to reply befor pressing enter lets hope I dint screw anything upYou just didn't NAME the drive, so don't worry. Nothing's wrong. YAY it worked, thanks alot I couldnt of done it without you guys Finally, mission accomplished. By the way, if you plan to reformat the Win XP MACHINE, as you MENTIONED in your first post, that works different. Just a heads up before you start on that.
