Answer» For starters, my task bar isn't locked.
I right-click on the taskbar, highlight Tools, then check Quick Launch. The Windows media player icon appears on my task bar but nothing ELSE. What I'm really looking for is to have my Desktop icon down there.First, the Quicklaunch. You can drag icons, shortcuts, etc. to it to add them to it.
Second: Make your Desktop a toolbar. Right click on a blank area on the taskbar/select Toolbars/click on Desktop (the word, not ACTUALLY on your desktop). At least that's how it works if there isn't something munging it up.I have the same problem. This does not work. I get a message saying cannot create I also can't drag icons to the taskbar.
Another problem, not sure where it should go. the icons are replicating each time I try to delete one. I have looked for a solution. I have found in other groups people have ADDRESSED this problem (so it's not just me). so far no answers tho, not that work, anyway. My whole screen is now COVERED
