I have installed a couple of GAMES recently (within 2 or 3 days) and something odd has occured.
The memory USAGE, according to task manager has been around 90 - 99% during the install. This is unnacounted for in the processes list. After the install has finished, the memory usage does not drop below 90% so i have to restart to use my computer as normal. Is my computer not REALLOCATING the memory after install and why is it using 3.9GB RAM to install a program??
Any HELP MUCH appreciated

How are you checking the RAM usage? Through Task Manager?Memory usage
I am using task manager. it is backed up by the fact that the computer RUNS REALLY slowly when the memory usage is very high which makes me think that it isn't just a faulty readoutI'm guessing you mean PF Usage (Page File Usage).
I'm not very familiar with Vista, but it does have very high PF usage. Someone might have to add to this...
