Answer» Ok I Use Audacity to record and mix songs and sometimes it really hits the ram hard when I shut it down my comp still runs slow. I read somewhere that things can stay in your ram long after its not needed I'm wondering if there is someway to purge the ram or if this is a bad idea alltogeter..You could EASILY Google or Monster Crawl to find your answer.

BBUTT SSSON He's a monster.Yes it can be done. Google for "free RAM". You also might report a bug to the Audacity project team, if you can reproduce the symptoms. They'd certainly like to know.
Edit: snap!I've used a little program in the past that seems to work WELL with clearing out stuff in RAM.
