Solve : Re: Error messages on Boot-up?

Answer»

is this pc networked......and use a  server??scan for trojans etc......or reboot hold down the f8 key chose last good config.........???partial recovery??Thank you for replying to my computer question.
No, This computer does not act as a server.. I did at one time have another computer hooked to my router and used the two of them as a network, BUT I have since gotten rid of the other computer. I still run this computer through the router as I am told that is a good idea for security reasons. I don't know how to tell this computer/router it is a single unit if that should be my problem..

Thanks

I think I am just out of my league in this forum as some of your suggestions I don't understand. Guess I will just live with this thing and if something screws up I will take it to a repair service.
Thank  you all

folks had me do a partial recovery  hp.....

^^^what did entail....^^^To tell the truth, I don't remember. We were doing a live chat (took forever).
However before we started they had me (via an Email) To remove EVERYTHING except 4 or 5 items from my startup file. I KEPT a copy of that email and followed those instructions again today AND NOW this problem we have been discussing here is GONE....
I Don't know exactly what I am doing, but now my computer works fine . Thanks to all for your patience..
