Solve : Re-installing windows? |

Answer» I want to re-install windows but it wont work. The installing process ends when the computer re-starts and a menu comes up where you can choose to either start windows normally or to install windows. If you choose to install windows a blue screen comes up after a short while, where it SAYS that there is something wrong and you have to restart the computer. The re-formating cant be fixed thorugh BIOS either because there it says with red text "NOTICE! The number of discs is not adequate to create a RAID!!!" and no OPTIONS are avaible. The harddrive is installed in Serial_Ch1. What should I do so I can re-format or re-install windows XP on my computer? Yes, I have a (1) SATA hard drive, MSI K8T mainboard, AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor, Windows Home operating system.Early on in the setup it will ask "press F6 for any ADDITIONAL drivers"...this happens fast so be ready. At that point insert the floppy with your SATA drivers and hit enter to continue. Make sure when XP is rebooting the floppy is removed and DO NOT hit the key to boot from CD when prompted...just let it run. p.s. You don't NEED to enter the raid setup when prompted as we are not setting up a RAID array...Thank you so much for the help! You're more than Welcome. Stop by anytime. |
