Answer» Onto a new hard drive or a new partition of your current hard drive...wrw5337........Have you formatted the new hard drive ? i am trying to load xp pro onto a new hard drive and i says .sif file missing or corrupt.cannot continue.any help out there? Reformat and try again. Supply us with more information..i am using copies of xp pro.i have tried 3 different copies of xp pro which i never had trouble with before.i am trying to load it on 4 different used hard drives which were fdisked and formatted.i also tried 3 different sets of the xp pro 6 disc start up sets.is the sif file located on the xp pro cd or the setup floppys. Do not bother us with questions regarding illegal software.
