Solve : Reading error?

Hi,

I ran a AVG scan on my Windows XP Pro machine, it came up with these two ERRORS:

Partition table (MBR)     READING error,
Boot sector of disk C     Reading error

Does this mean there is something WRONG with my disk? If so how can I fix it?

I fixed the PROBLEM. I used chkdsk /f then restart the PC. viala, it WORKS.
