Solve : Real Tek Driver? |
|
Answer» I posted a topic yesterday re: NO SOUND I found a free site to check drivers. there are two that need updatingWas real tek one or those? You seem to be saying that you believe you need a driver update for you NIC (network card) and that that may be causing a problem with your sound. That doesn't make any sense, does it, unless you're talking about streaming audio from the Internet? Is that you meant? Anyway, this may HELP with your NIC problem: http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/realteknic.htmlyes that is the driver the test said I needed to update. I went to that site you gave and hit download ..it doesn't seem to have updated the driver. Thanks I am trying whatever I can to get the sound back on on my computer. It is making me Craaaaaaaazeeeeeeeee. Did you follow the instructions there: Quote Description And, again, do you have no sound, sound from certain sources but not others, ... what exactly? Hello.. Thank you so much for your time. I went to add/ remove hardware and it is showing this real tek driver update as loaded. I have no sound anywhere. I know the speakers work as they will make a crackle sound as they always did if I TURN them up. I really don't know what is stopping the sound. I have no sound icon in the syst tray. When I go to look up DEVICES it says all the audio devices are running. then if I go to say sound recorder it says no sound device available. I know it must be some silly thing I am missing ..just cannot figure out. could it be firewalls.? Once again did you follow the instructions Soybean posted above ? ? |
