Solve : reboot problem with xp home ? |
|
Answer» my xp home edition was working fine last night then all the sudden it reset. when it rebooted it got to the window load screen and then rebooted again this time taking me to the , choose between safe modes or as normal. i picked normal and it rebooted again when it got to the windows load screen. again it went to the choose safe modes or normal i choase safe, and it loaded up fine. once in safe mode i ran stop sign anti-virus, it came back with (from memory i didnot WRITE it down....win_95_nigor) and it removed and deleted it, then i ran disk cleanup, and after that i ran DEFRAG, all ran smooth. then i restarted system and same things happened again ,in normal mode it would still auto reboot at window load screen, and at safe it would work. so again in safe i (its a e-machine) did system restore from a WEEK back and still same problems.......finally i did an recovery where it backs up all info to c:backup and reinstalls the window xp os . that ran fine but now if i pick safe or normal mode it still constanly reboots every time it gets to windows load screen........................PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT CAUSED THIS AND OTHER THAN HIRING SOMEONE WHAT CAN I DO..........sorry not yelling just desperate.....also i pretty HANDY with computers, have built many at different times so any suggestions would be welcomed.------ps have family photos that are not backed-up and wife will kill if i dont at least recover those.there are several things that could be happening. bad ram, bad harddrive, bad motherboard, overheating and/or infection. |
