Solve : Rebooting continually HP Pavilion?

Answer»

Wife was down loading a game and decided not to half way in she had to turn it off to stop now it just keeps rebooting. I have tried safe mode to pick an early date and it did not work I found out how to get to Windows advanced options menu and have tried safe mode and LAST known which did not work. I disabled auto restart to get to the blue error window and this is what it reads.
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defrag or BACKUP utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

I do not KNOW how to do any of this if I can not get it to boot up?

Any ideas before I use the recovery disk and she has a complete loss of what has not been BACKED up?The Recovery disk will wipe out ALL your data...do this only as a last resort.
If the machine refuses to boot you could hook up the drive as a SLAVE in another machine and run chkdsk /r from the other machines install of Windows...
