Solve : Receiving the same email twice in Outlook????? |
|
Answer» Hi, Under Tools, Accounts, make sure the account you're checking only appears once. They may not have the same name but could contain the same login info. Thanks for your reply Peccavi. We could be onto something here! Followed your instructions and noticed there are three accounts. I'm not sure and am a little worried about which one(s) to delete. Any ideas as I do not want to lose my emails completely. See attachment. Once again thanks for your advice! DtMDouble click the last two and uncheck "Include this account........." If everything seems OK after a while, delete the last two. Quote Double click the last two and uncheck "Include this account........." Hi Backdated, Thanks for your help. When I double click the account I have the page shown in the attachment. It doesn't appear to have a "Include this account" box to check or uncheck. Any more ideas please? Regards DtM Quote QuoteDouble click the last two and uncheck "Include this account........." The more settings button displays the following options but again there is no option to uncheck "Include this account." All three accounts have the same login , don't they? ie when you click on them seperately they all show the same information in the fields, as you ATTACHED above. If so, just delete (choose and click Remove) other two and leave just the default one.As others have SAID, the three Outlook email accounts appear to be for the same underlying email account. Therefore, two of them could simply be deleted. However, if you want to disable an account from being included in Send/Receive commands, go to Tools, Options, Mail Setup, and click the button for Send/Receive. Click Edit. On the left side of that panel, you should see your Accounts and, at the top of this panel is a box for "Include the SELECTED account in this group". This screen is where you can control which accounts are affected by Send/Receive actions.Thank you for your help GUYS!Sorry about that, I was thinking of OE. You're safe to do as the others have said. |
