Answer» Hello all. I have been having trouble using the recovery disk for my asus g72gx, FXX05. I select the option to boot from disk in the bios, and it loads the disk at startup. The screen that then comes up is gray, and the language preferences and the option of WHETHER to write over the whole hard DRIVE or one of the PARTITIONS is presented. I originally tried the whole hard drive, as I don't need any of the data on it. But no matter which option I PICK, at some percentage of the loading operation, where it says XX% complete, the process will stop and the screen will turn white and display ERROR in giant red letters. I have GOOGLED around to try and find some solution, with no luck. Does anybody have any suggestions? All help is appreciated!Have you tried cleaning the disk?
