Solve : Recovery help for Dell Inspiron 1420?

Answer»

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 1420 Laptop. However when I did the install I wasn't paying attention and accidentally installed it into the recovery drive and now I have zero space to SAVE my other software. I tried calling Dell support but since my warranty is expired they want $270 for some warranty program before they will tell me how to remove it from the recovery drive so I can install Windows 7 Correctly. Can someone please help with this problem. I really can't afford to pay someone right now and I know I could do this with proper instructions. HELP!!! BOOT to the Windows DVD and delete all PARTITIONS (including the recovery drive). Create one or more new partitions, format, install.Ok how do I do all that?Boot to the Windows 7 DVD. The installation routine will begin and you'll see the options in front of you.Got it thanks! *censored* that was easier than I thought it would be! Thanks again, I'm back up and my computer is running great! I really like the Windows 7! Thanks again! Happy to help and glad you got it all sorted out. Enjoy Windows 7
