Solve : recurring items in "startup" of MSConfig? |
|
Answer» I have 2 things that keep returning to the "startup" list in MSConfig: "EnsoniqMixer starter.exe" and "sp RUNDLL32 c:\windows\\se.dll,DllInstall" The first has something to do with sound and is annoying only because it TAKES up system resources. I'm not sure what the second is for, but the folder keeps changing every time I delete the dll file named. "EnsoniqMixer starter.exe" This seems to be legit. And here is the scoop on se.dll: http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/se/index.php Maragtas is correct; it's spyware and should be removed. Hope that helps, DocI already knew that Starter.exe was legit, I just don't want it running because the games I play need all the memory I can give them. As for SE.dll, telling me to remove it doesn't help because it keeps re-creating itself in new folders every time I delete it. What I really need to know is how to keep the damned line in MSConfig from re-forming. Then you should use the tools I provided you with.
