Answer» How do I GET rid of the red X on my (connection status) icon, RIGHT lower CORNER. When I open it up it keeps saying that it's turned off, I click to turn it on but it never changes. Try right clicking it and select Repair...Do you have internet access?Yes, I have Internet access I tried right clicking, and repair, but it did not fix the PROBLEM???Wireless probably then...the red X indicates Windows detects no ethernet connection...not to worry.
