Solve : Reformating window XP home edition?

Answer»

I seriously need some help with my reformating, i inserted the disk and follow through the formating procedure till the step where i have to delete the partition, i encountered a problem of not being able to delete the existing partition which store my operating system.

i pressed D to delete the C:/ drive but they keep stating that i have some temporary files needed to complete the installation of the window XP

Can someone please help me, THANKS in advanceIf you select the FIRST option are you then offered an opportunity to FORMAT first? If you have another computer available you can download darvik's boot and nuke. after download burn it to a CD and select quick format. It will make a complete write to the drive erasing anything on the drive. Are you running setup from within Windows by any chance?I believe so...Quote from: Broni on August 27, 2009, 07:55:12 PM
