Solve : Reformatting Problem with Windows XP? |
|
Answer» I have started reformatting my PC with Windows XP Sp2... it went well at start and then a message telling that it could not continue because of a missing file and has to reboot... I have started reformatting my PC with Windows XP Sp2 Are you formatting your hard drive when the error condition arises or are you trying to re-INSTALL your Operating System? Sometimes you can make a copy of the install DISK and when the original did not work...the copy will. I use BlindWrite. See the below link. http://vso.nerim.net/blindwrite_full_setup.exe Quote from: DUSTY on November 12, 2008, 11:38:25 PM Ava024 - Welcome to the CH forums. yes i was, i simply followed the procedures...PROBLEM was (i think) i have deleted the partitions before the error showed up Quote from: street1 on November 13, 2008, 04:25:39 AM Sometimes you can make a copy of the install disk and when the original yes i have, and i tried also using the backup copies and still i get the same problem Quote from: JJ 3000 on November 12, 2008, 10:30:59 PM How far did you get in the format? i probably have no idea...im so sorry. a FRIEND just instructed me how to do it so i just simply followed step-by-step...problem i think aggravated because i have deleted the partitions before the error occuredWhat were the instructions your friend gave you? |
