Hello,

I have switched back to the Mac for the passed 3 years so I am not in touch with the Windows world anymore. Recently, a friend of mine has a lot of problems with her Vista Laptop, I took a look at it and I found out the registry is all MESSED up. I don't trust any of those online registry cleaner stuff, so I am wondering what is a GOOD, trustworth registry cleaner program, it would be a plus if it's free. Any recommendations?

Most registry cleaners do more harm than good. However, if you want to clean junk files from the registry check out CCleaner. It's a more gentle cleaner than most. It also cleans all of the crap from the hard drive. You can download it here:
http://www.ccleaner.com/Registry cleaners will not fix a registry. They really don't do much at all, in fact, except cause problems. It sounds to me LIKE you don't KNOW what you are doing - so I strongly urge you not to make things worse.
