I am trying to reload my operating system . When I boot this message comes up and my disk isn't READ. [ C0000218 Registry File Failure Reg cannot load the hive (file)
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\Security
or it's log or alternate, it is corrupt or absent or not writable.

Thanks for the reply and help. I had found that SITE on microsoft already. The PROBLEM is that my disk is the original operating one and when I try to boot the message tells me that the file that is corruted is the security hive and it won't let me boot the disk, in fact my system just stops at this screen and I have to UNPLUG it to RESTART. It will load any other disk and will start normally with no problem, just won't allow me to reinstall my system. The warning message is the same as the one in the article except that the word config is replaced by security.
