Answer» actually, i got everything WORKING. thanks a LOT for the help and time you guys!!!!!! i reallllly appreciate itWhat happened?? haha i made an assumption that i shouldn't have. turning my computer around [to get the service tag] is quite the PAIN in the censored because there isn't a lot of room on my desk and there are a bunch of cords and stuff so i got the tag off of my mom's computer, assuming that since we both had dells and windows xp that the same drivers would be compatible with our systems. that's where i went wrong. turns out, our computers have entirely different requirements! whoooops =DYou deserve some spanking, don't you? HA yes, i'm afraid so
