Answer» I reformatted my hard drive today, and when I go to run my Recovery CD's it stops on the second disk. I went to HP tech support and says for that error message the cd is scratched or dirty to clean and try again. I have done that several times and same thing. I have floppys on win 3.1 but for my sons games he needs at LEAST win 98. What can I do to fix this without having to buy my software again? THanks. MarkSometimes you can copy a damaged cd and the copy will work where the original WOULD not. Do you have a Cd-Writer you can do this with?Thanks, I tried that and on the FIRST cd it just copys the readme files and on the second cd it does not copy nothing. U will need special software.
