Reason for reinstalling?

I PURCHASED a new hard drive,  I removed the drive today and installed xp using the same disc but in another computer. I took the hard drive and put it back into the first computer and received the blue screen that it COULD harm the system and has blocked windows from starting? I have loaded many operating systems onto hard drives, but never saw ANYTHING like this. Bios setup looks ok. This is a dell. not sure if there is something I should be doing out of the norm. Thanks for the help.

You installed XP on one machine, and then you moved the hard drive to another machine?
It won't work.TrueWhy are you not installing Windows on the computer, the new HD is SUPPOSE to be in?I tried it several times, Everything goes fine until it says windows needs to reboot to finish setup. Goes to the blue screen "windows setup" loads a bunch of files, gives prompt to load thirg party raid drivers if needed, then goes to "setup is starting windows"...and just freezes up at that point. I installed the os on another dell and it go into the blue screen protection mode and will damage system, saying the hd has a virus, I then took a loaded hd from another dell and received the same message. I starting to think there is a problem with the motherboard?

Thank for the helpPossible, but before you go there, test the RAM.
Run Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Windows-Memory-Diagnostic-Tool-t177564.html
