Solve : Remember me does not remember?

Answer»

Letting CCleaner clear cookies does not affect passwords. If you view the Applications tab in CCleaner, you'll see that Saved Passwords is a specific option. So, un-select that option if it is selected.

I find IE to be the worst or most inconsistent browser with regard to saving passwords. I'm comparing it to Firefox, Opera, and CHROME. Allan -
You suggest stop using CCleaner because it does not do anything. I use it because it gets rid of all cookies which take up room and are not useful. Is there a better way to get rid of unnessary things and keep your memory as small as possible? ThanksCookies take up essentially NO space. Deleting them does not increase performance or space on your hard drive. What do you mean by "keep your memory as small as possible"? Memory is not hard drive space (and cookies have no effect on either). Exactly what do you want to do?Allan -
As you can see I don't know very much. What I try to do is keep my computer as CLEAN (no unnessary files) as possible. CCleaner gets rid of temp files. I seem to end up with a lot of them. The original problem I asked about was the remember me not remembering. I THOUGHT it was fixed but it is back. It is not a big DEAL and I am taking up too much of people's time. Thanks but let US drop the problem. Bobsoybean -
The saved passwords was not checked. I am using IE because it was what I started with and I don't want to learn a new OS. I can get along with what little I need a computer for without trying something new. As I suggested to Allan, let us drop this thread. Thanks for your help. BobThat's what we're here for Bob.

The way I delete my temp files is to daily go into my temp folder and delete them. But if you prefer a 3rd party app like ccleaner that's fine.
