Solve : Remote Desktop puzzle.?

Answer»

Hi,
As a major part of my job, I have to connect to user's PCs via remote desktop connection (RDC).

Most times when I do this, I get to see what the USERS are seeing and doing, and they get to see what I'm doing on their PC. However, occasionally, all I see is a windows logon screen. If I logon, the user cannot see what I'm doing and if they are logged on, I cannot see what they are doing.

My PC is running xp as are the user PC's.

Why is this and how can I get to interact with what the users are doing on their PCs all of the time?

THANKS.... This is feature of RDC. If you connect to remote computer, the user turns off automatically at logon screen. If you need to see what makes user without LOGOUT screen and have full access to the remote computer you must use third-party programs such as 'Remote Desktop' or DameWare UtilitiesQuote from: Baffled on September 07, 2009, 04:50:35 AM

Exactly what do you mean by "remote desktop connection"? Do you mean Remote Desktop, or Remote Assistance? I believe you would not have this problem if you use Remote Assistance.

Reference: How to use remote assistance in Windows XP We use Remote Desktop Connection here (i.e. the one in accessories folder) (we also use VNC but that doesn't ALWAYS work)
