Solve : Removal of files from startup menu? |
Answer» Black Vipers ReasonsQuote from: BC_Programmer on November 05, 2009, 09:50:01 AMAnyway, my favourite is Autoruns, because it enumerates Winlogon notify items as well as numerous others.Yep, I always have Autoruns installed and it's great. But for simple startup item manipulation I still prefer the old standby Startup Control PANEL. Been using it since Windows 95 and it's never "out of date" heh, my "old standby" is regedit half of my manipulation of the run keys is performed MANUALLY. Mike Lin has a few other nifty tools as well...Quote from: BC_Programmer on November 05, 2009, 10:00:33 AM heh, my "old standby" is regeditYeah, I did that for years. But Startup Control Panel is so much easier . Even lets you move items from one startup location to another (ie, hklm....run to hkcu.....run or user startup or "all" startup). It's the first item pinned to my starup MENU. And it's easy to check once a week just to make sure nothing tiptoed in there when I wasn't looking (cough - quicktime - cough).Quote from: patio on November 05, 2009, 10:04:46 AM Mike Lin has a few other nifty tools as well...Yep, amazing how these simple utilities that have been around at least 10 years still hold their own.I sent him a $10.00 donation when i was still running Win98SE... He was most appreciative.Which reminds me, do you have my mailing address? You haven't recieved your SAVINGS Bond yet ? ? It says CH all over it. Perhaps you thought it was junkmail... Ask Broni....he got his no problem....meanwhile i'll talk to Accounting.Yes, please do. Hey, you don't think Broni got mine in error, do you?Let's wait and see...if he doesn't reply here probably so.Oh, he's like that, huh?I had a whole STACK of them delivered here, different names on all of them. I thought I was supposed to cash them...just right click the program that you dont want and delete.Quote from: Crinale819 on November 07, 2009, 11:41:23 PM just right click the program that you dont want and delete.Obviously this is NOT the correct answer |
