Answer» does anybody know how to get rid of double entries after a system RESTORE? when clicking on teh start button, you can manually delete all of the programs that are shown twice, but what about the control PANEL? and does having double entries have any IMPACT on files if left alone? when i uninstall a PROGRAM, the left over ENTRY remains, and if i try to uninstall, the computer asks to browser for location. thanks!If you have two identical ones, one should say Copy of Shortcut, or something like that. Make sure the other (original) works, then delete the offender (copy) - either drag to recycle bin or right click and choose delete.
