Where is it ?

On your restore CD. It is not stored on the computer. If there is a hidden restore partition, it acts the same as a restore CD. Wipes the C: partition, reinstalls OS and drivers, etc. Restoring from CD will somtimes obliterate the hidden restore partition. This not the same as SYSTEM restore, which does not restore to original. As far a startup is concerned, you only need explorer and systray. Some services are required for XP to run normally.
