Solve : restoring windows xp?

Answer»

I have a benQ joybook R53. I bought it a couple of years back so the format of the drives is still FAT32. So i want to format the HDD to NTFS. However I found out that I did not get a windows installation CD with the laptop, I just have the OEM recovery CD (It does not allow me to partition my drives during installation). Hence I am having great difficulty in formatting my C:.

I have tried taking the HDD out and formatting it with my other computer. However when I PUT it back into my benQ, the recovery CD reformat my drives again so they are FAT32 again!

Is there any way (APART from obtaining someone elses copy of windows installation CD) that I can format my c: to NTFS and partition my drives?

THANKS!!What OS ? ? Quote from: aaskl on March 19, 2010, 05:23:42 PM
