All it takes is for the user to skip/miss one step.Yes, it happens. That's why I mentioned not to format. But again, there's certainly no harm in doing it your way and then doing the repair install.Well....good news! Slaving the drive worked perfectly. I got all of my FILES with no problems. Thank you guys for all of your input. I NEVER thought of slaving the drive, but it worked. I have my files and I am now formatting the drive.
