Solve : Retrieving compressed files?

Answer»

Hello,

Can you please advise me if it's POSSIBLE to retrieve a COMPRESSED folder after it has been deleted?

I made an online purchase of an e-book through Clickbank which was sent to me in a compressed file. I have Windows XP. I was unfamiliar with compressed files & thought I could not open the file. As I was concerned that the file may have been affected I deleted it. I am worried as after receiving this my computer screen kept pulsing the same page. I have done a Norton anti-virus scan & no viruses were detected.

I would now like to open this compressed file but I cannot find it anywhere as I deleted it. Does it remain somewhere?

Thank you for your help. If you just pressed Delete, then it might be in the Recycling Bin.

How did you delete it?Thanks for your reply.

I right clicked & deleted it. I'm not too au fait with the computer just the BASICS.

Ok, double click the Recycling Bin on the Desktop and look for the deleted file.
Then Right Click it and click Restore.Yes I've already done that but I think as I PANICKED I deleted it from there aswell to remove it. I suppose after it being deleted from recycle bin it goes permanently.

Not to worry but thanks for your help.

I don't think there is any way to retrieve it then. I've had my fair share of experiences too.
Contact Clikbank and explain that it was deleted in error...
As they have a copy of your ORIGINAL transaction they may be kind enough to replace it for you...
