Answer»

Hallo ever1 here r my COMPUTER details:
WINDOWS XP Home Edition (German but it doesn't really MAKE a difference) SP2------512 MB RAM--------3GHz------Kaspersky Security Suite

And here is my problem:
When e.g downloading this windows appears:
...but why is the alphabetical order the wrong way ? It's harder this way and I'm not used 2 it ... How Can undo or repair this useless change ? Plz help.

P.S I already scanned my system--> no ADWARE,Spyware,Viruses... (had Norton before Kaspersky...wasn't really impressed). :-/what do you mean in the wrong way?Have you tried right-click -> arrange icon by -> name ?
Everytime you choose this it will toggle the alphabetical order between ascending and DESCENDING. Quote

Yeah I've tried that-->it changes once then after I open the next directory, I've got the same situation as before  Ok, let's assume you have a directory of C:\ABC\DEF

In ABC, icons are arranged descending, when you right-click -> arrange icon by -> name, it changed to ascending.

Then you go into DEF, the icons are arranged descending as well. You changed it with the same way.

When you go one level up back to ABC, are the icons arranged ascending as you've changed it or descending as before?
Yup Michael u got that right..and I don't know how that happened cause' at that time I didn't install any new sofware  :-?Open an Explore window. Set it up to the view (Details, List etc) that you want to use and set the display ordering (Name, Size etc) and it's direction.
Now select Tools>Folder Options>View and set it up as shown below. When satisfied, hit the "Apply" button, then the "Apply To All Folders" button and OK it.Jeronimo, which is right?
