Solve : Right-click Context Menu?

Answer»

I believe WINDOWS Picture and Fax Viewer is the normal/default for Preview.

What do you mean by "default action", as it applies to your context menu? SINCE you have a menu from which to CHOOSE actions and you must select an action before an action will be executed, what makes any of those actions "default"?Quote from: soybean on March 17, 2010, 08:22:43 AM

The Default Action is the bolded action. It is also the action executed when you double-click. Most Items have "Open" as the default action.

Gotcha, thanks. I'm guessing Preview is the default most users see when right clicking on a photo. Quote from: soybean on March 17, 2010, 01:02:23 PM

When no 3rd party graphic softwares are installed and associated with image files, Preview is the default action (top of the context menu and bolded), and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is the corresponding program to open it. Now that I have associate jpegs etc with Photoshop, the default action is Open (top of the context menu and bolded) and Photoshop is the corresponding program to open it. The Preview option has now been pushed down, but when chosen, still opening the image with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. This is exactly the same SITUATION until I experienced the PROBLEM that started this thread.
