Answer» Hello all. Hope all is well. Might be a dumb question, but I purchased a Laptop (Dell Latitude E6500) and it has a built in web CAM. I want to be able to talk with my parents in another state. Never used a web cam before and not sure I understand what I need to do now. I have to purchase something else don't I to be able to talk over the internet? Thanks for any advice or INFO!!! SMILE ! YOU ARE ON TV! A WEB CAM can be used in messenger programs such as Windows Live Messenger, Skype and Yahoo messenger services.Just make sure u and your parents are using the same IM SW. It will make it eraser to communicate using the same SW. BTW Pls make sure they have a web camera.
