|
Answer» Hello. Do you have a HP printer?I do have a HP officejet 6500 all in one printer. But the Error came After I Deleted that user Account. At: Quote from: Linux711 on April 13, 2012, 09:51:55 AM the fact that the file it is trying to access is in the temp makes me think malware. does it happen when you plug in sub flash drives or external hdds.No it HAPPENS when I log on, wake the computer from Sleep, and when I CONNECT or disconnect anything from the network. I can deal with the Error 1-2 times but my house HOLD uses the Wifi and they connect and disconnect from the network which causes that error to appear who knows when. That error look like it from a HP printer. Can you still print to it?At: Quote from: cervantes100 on April 13, 2012, 06:59:45 PM That error look like it from a HP printer. Can you still print to it?Yes it works fine; I've even reinstalled it. The scanner works fine as well. That account I deleted was called user the dude at a computer repair shop created it. I made the other user accounts. I don't get it why is it pointing to that path that doesn't even exist any more, shouldn't it not appear? Well I've looked threw the registry and found nothing that points to that location under shared DLLs. PS. I forgot to menchin the printer is connected using an ethernet cable to the network.Quote I've looked threw the registry and found nothing that points to that location under shared DLLs. That's a good point. How about just searching the entire registry for that file and delete every single entry that comes up. You said it doesn't exist, so it shouldn't do any harm. Might take a few minutes though.it found one under [Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\HPSLPSVC\Parameters] and [Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\HPSLPSVC\Parameters] I backed it up and I'll post back if anything changes. CarlosProblem solved! Thank you I think what i might do now is search the registry for anything that goes beyond "c:\users\user\" and delete it. Sense the user doesn't exist any more.I'm glad it working.Quote Problem solved! Thank you Your welcome! Be careful about deleting, you don't want to do a complete reinstall.I doudt I'll run into problems. But if I do I'll restore the registry from the backups. Carlos |
