Answer» Hope I have this in the correct section. Vista Home Premium. SP1 – 2.8Ghz Processor. In bother again! On clicking on the START button brings up the start programs, left and right panes. Until recently I had a SEARCH function button in the right pane of the menu. Now disappeared. From the top, buttons now read (after the personal button) Documents, Pictures, Music, Games, then Blank Space where SEARCH used to live, then Recent Items etc. I have had a FIDDLE around in the Start Menu dialogue box but can’t RETRIEVE it. Not CRUCIAL that I have it but annoying that I don’t. If help is possible, could it be in novice terms as I am just that. Possibly in a 1-2-3 SEQUENCE? Thanks for your previous help Did you try right clicking an empty area of the Start Menu and select customise ? ?Did you recently install SP1? SP1 removes the Search button. I don't see an option to restore the Search button here.
