Answer» Why do you always tell people to for example SCAN for things in safe mode, what is the difference of scanning in normal windows?
Just curious
ThanxKeep it clean...we have Members of all ages.
patio.I'm not sure what Patio's response means but very few viruses, and other MALWARE, will run in Safe Mode making them easier to detect. Also much fewer system components run making scanning more effective.
Good luckIn safe mode, you get the bare minimum in terms of drivers and file system apps running.
That said, your computer is using very little RESOURCE to run. If you are not running in safe mode with networking, you have no internet CONNECTION which is good for not allowing your computer to get infected.
You scan and it would be a much smoother ride with no heavy duty work required as you now have plenty of resources available and usually in safe mode you're not interested in doing your usual TASKS which takes up resources too.My response means the original post was cleaned up...Aha, guess the OP understood. thanks..
