I have win xp pro
Does Ubuntu 10.9 support SATA Configureation AHCI?

I ask because the people at ECS told me to get the SATA Data TRANSFER speed I have to go into my BIOS and set SATA Configuration to AHCi then re boot and install win xp again.

Then install SATA Drivers.

So I thought then why not go Ubuntu 10.9??Please do not post the same question more than once. I deleted the dupe.This should be helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Host_Controller_Interface; leads me to think the answer is yes.
