Answer» when i click a picture to save as the only option i get is bitmap how can i change this? You need to have programs that can open files in .Gif , .JPEG , etc. Right now, it sounds like you don't have any programs that can open .JPEG and .GIF files, along with some others..... What program does this happen in?i am using win xp,anytime i try to save a pic to my pictures the only option is bitmap,i have read in anoyher forum it has SOMETHING to do with SP2clean out the TEMP files........tools/internet/options.....Get a jpeg FILE. Select it then HOLD down shift and right click it. Click open with. FIND mspaint. Go to file, save as... look in the box now.
